Acting With Love

So one of my ongoing goals is to try and take a more love-based approach to life. Meaning that instead of knee-jerk reactions to situations, I’ll try and consciously come from a loving attitude when dealing with people and life. Now it goes without saying that when things are going pretty well, this is a lot easier to do! Even in frustrating situations such as traffic, waiting in lines and other everyday hiccups, I can usually check my attitude and try and come with a more positive spin.

But what I’m finding difficult is how to deal with people when they are just being a**holes!! When friends or even just acquaintances are disrespectful, or when people are unnecessarily mean or selfish. At these times I find I often want to prove that person “wrong”, hold them responsible for their a–hole actions, or want there to be some type of consequence for their mean-ness.

What kinds of techniques/concepts can be applied in such circumstances and how can one handle these situations??
